“My fear of flying starts as soon as I buckle myself in and then the guy up front mumbles a few unintelligible words then before I know it I’m thrust into the back of my seat by acceleration that seems way too fast and the rest of the trip is an endless nightmare of turbulence, of near misses. And then the cabbie drops me off at the airport”.-Dennis Miller
I am already a day late but jet lag made me lag for certain yesterday. Bottom line or as Skip would say: “Full stop.” We made it to Paris. An uneventful flight which is always good!! Made it to the hotel and joined our merry group.
We lay down for a short nap and woke four hours later!! Then we braved the bus and the train( metro) and took a open top bus tour around the city.
After a short while it began to rain so my pictures are nothing to brag about but it was a wonderful tour none the less.
We met our group for dinner and had a lovely, delicious meal with laughter and for all of those who could partake of the gluten filled the dessert, I heard that the Brioche was amazing!
There is not much else to share as I fell into a deep sleep coma upon return to the room.
Although I respect Dick Clark I disagree with his sentiment:
“Jet lag is for amateurs.”
I promise the next blog will be more interesting!!
