“In matters of healing the body or the mind, vacation is a true genius!” ― Mehmet Murat ildan

It is a bit of a good thing that it is almost time to go home.  When I looked at some of the pictures from only yesterday to create this blog post they seemed unfamiliar.  Was I looking at the right day?  Where was I?  Where was that taken?  I’m usually a “if this is Wednesday I have the following tasks to accomplish.”  The sights and sounds and experiences have blended a little and that to me is a good thing.  Even though I am not sure of the time, I am sure I had a good time.

We toured the city of Madrid by bus and we walked part of the city of Madrid.  We went to where they had bullfights.  The city is clean and easy to walk around at least in the parts where our tour guide took us.  DSC_0266-001DSC_0264-001

My impressions of Madrid were that it was a remarkably clean city.  Lot’s of graffiti but little trash around anywhere.  It was busy and huge and lots to do.  We were blessed the entire trip with good weather and it made for a very enjoyable trip.  We had dinner in the center of town, the food was mediocre and the service was not good and then we walked around for a bit.

After another dinner where the service was not good we headed off to a Flamenco show.   Not to be confused with a Flamingo show. The show was wonderful and we had (uncomfortable) front row seats.  The dancing and singing were extraordinary and the dancers put their heart and soul into it

This is what I thought the show was going to include but it did not.
